Welding and punched packages generate an electrical connection between the sheets. This is not desired. To avoid this short circuit, plastic packaging is an alternative. Loose sheets are processed that are punched with simple, cost-effective progressive dies. Then a plastic core is sprayed through a notch in the sheets, which have been built into a package in the spraying form. This core then holds the package together. Winding heads, contact holders or phase separations can be sprayed onto the face ends in order to provide the ideal conditions for the subsequent winding process.
In addition to packaging with plastic, the same work step can also be used to spray groove insulation into place.
